<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 27pt;"><em><span lang="EN-US">The objective of this this study is to examine the influence of managerial ownership on earning management and quality of earnings. Some empirical researches proved that managerial ownership has a negative influence on earnings management and influences positively year 1995 to 2000, using pooled data of 361 obse3rvations. Earnings management is proxies by discretionary total accrual (DTAC) and the quality of earnings is proxies by earnings response coefficient (ERC). The result of the study is that managerial ownership has a positive influence on earnings management and quality of earnings. The overall result shows that increasing there is an motivation of manager to manage reported earnings. These result are contradictory. It may be caused by the limited corporate governance mechanism variables being observed such as institutional and public ownership, independent board of directors and audit committee.</span></em></p>

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan yang signifikan untuk penyebab-penyebab penurunan dan strategi-strategi pemulihan kembali di antara dua group tersebut. Perusahaan-perusahaan PN4 mengalami persoalan-persoalan aliran kas yang lebih besar dan persoalan-persoalan top manajemen dibandingkan dengan perusahaan-perusahaan Top 100. Perusahaan-perusahaan P4 menggunakan strategi konsolidasi untuk mengatasi persoalan aliran kas, sedangkan perusahaan-perusahaan Top 100 yang tanpa ada masalah-masalah dengan top manajemen lebih cendrung menggunakan strategi pemasaran sebagai strategi pemulihan semula.</span></em></p>

The study covers a period between January 2001 and July 2003, the period where Indonesia financial crisis is ended. By using the daily Jakarta composite index as basis analysis, the finding show that to be an abnormally high return on Tuesday until Friday and a negative return on Monday. However, from statistical point of view this phenomenon is not significant. It’s means no day of the week effect in Jakarta Stock Exchange and indicated the Indonesian stock market is still in the weak sense.</span></em></p>

SME’s are encouraged by Indonesia government to adopt and implement marketing activities in order to improve their performance. This paper reports a preliminary analysis on 43 medium – sized manufacturing companies. The data was collected thought interview by using a structured questionnaire with regard to the extent the medium sized companies have adopted and implemented certain marketing activities. The findings show that there is a high incidence of adoption and implementation of six dimensions of marketing activities namely products / services activities, pricing activities, promotion activities, distribution planning activities, logistics management activities, and cost distribution activities. Thus, we condude that the adoption and implementation of certain marketing activities among medium size companies in Indonesia are common.</span></em></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 27pt;"><em><span lang="EN-US">The efficient portfolio model was introduced by Markowitz (1952) and culminated in his classic book (1959). This model assumes that an investor has two aims on mind: expcts high return and require a minimum level of risk. The purpose of this study is to identify the optimal portofolio by using risk free assets with Markowitz model. Samples are collected by using purposive sampling to all listing companies at the manufacture industry during the year of 2002. The investing program with quadratic model was used to analyze 16 stocks and 52 weeks observation from manufacture companies. It needs two curves to create the optimal portfolio, they are an efficient frontier curve and portfolio nineth is the optimal one. From the exploration it is recommended that risk averse investor choose the optimal one. From the exploration it is recommended that risk averse investor choose the optimal portfolio with return and deviation are 544% and 8,3% respectedly. While the portfolio for every stock in this optimal portfolio are Astra International Tbk (X2) = 25.45%, Gajah Tunggal Tbk (5X) = 54%, Kalbe Farma Tbk (X10) = 15.11%, and Kimia Farma Tbk (X11) = 6%.</span></em></p>

Penolakan terhadap perubahan telah diindentifikasi sebagai suatu faktor krusial yang menentukan keberhasilan atau kegagalan dalam implementasi teknologi. Karya ilmiah ini berusaha melihat dampak perubahan dalam Enterprice Resource Planing (ERP). Data yang telah digunakan dalam penelitian in dikumpulkan dari 96 perusahaan menemukan bahwa penolakan terhadap perusahaan berhubungan secara negatif dengan A chievement of Predetermined Goals (b= -0.930, p&lt; 0.01), dan kepuasan pengguna (b = -0.953,<span> </span>p&lt;0.01). Dengan demikian, keberhasilan implementasi tekhnologi sangat ditentukan oleh faktor manusia dalam proses implementasi dan bukan faktor lainnya yaitu seperti infrastruktur teknology yang dapat saja merupakan salah satu variabel yang dapat mempengaruhi penolakan karyawan.</span></em></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 27pt;"><em><span lang="IN">The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences among the manufacturing companies</span><span lang="EN-US"> in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam in measuring, evaluating, and rewarding on the profit center managers. The data was collected by using questionnaire. To test the hypothesis, the research used the statistic non parametric with the Kolmogorov Smirnow Test. The Kolmogorov Test is applicable to measure the ordinal scale and the sample of £ 30. Kolmogrov Test was used to prove the hypothesize that has no differences of the two distributions, or to determine whether the distribution of the two populations has similar form. From the test result, it shows that Ho hypothesis is accepted; meaning that there are no differences in measuring, evaluating, and giving appreciation Aceh Darussalam.</span></em></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 27pt;"><em><span lang="EN-US">Penelitian ini </span></em><em><span lang="IN">mencoba untuk menggambarkan dan memahami bagaimanakah keterkaitan antara kualitas pelayanan dengan pengembagan sumber daya manusia yang dilakukan diperusahaan manufaktur. Model manajemen pelayanan pengembangan sumber daya manusia yang dikemukakan oleh Mafi (2000) digunakan oleh Parasuraman, Zeithaml, dan Berry (1985). Reka bentuk penelitian ini adalah dekriptif kualitatif dengan memfokuskan kepada studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi perusahaan, dan panggilan telepon. Kuesioner yang sifatnya terbuka dirancang sama untuk kedua jenis responden, dan setiap responden diberikan 13 pertanyaan yang sesuai dengan manajemen pelayanan pengembangan sumber daya manusia, terutama yang mencakup lima jurang yang tgerdapat dalam model tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang jelas antara jurang satu hingga jurang tiga. Sedangkan, jurang empat dan jurang lima tidak memperlihatkan adanya perbedaan. Akhirnya, lima dimensi kualitas pelayanan karyawan dapat diidentifikasikan yaitu tersedia (availability) responsif (responsiveness), tepat waktu (timelines), kesempurnaan (completeness), dan kegembiraan (pleasntness).</span></em></p>
